The Wheatsheaf Inn in Shifnal has always been a traditional pub, with huge beams, low ceilings, open inglenook fires and traditional furniture. When you walk into the pub it is like stepping back in time whilst at the same time being enveloped into a warm, cosy and welcoming atmosphere that the pub oozes.
The guest accomodation has recently been developed and the three guest bedrooms have been completely refurbished in a traditional style. During the refurbishment 17th century oak floors were revealed and restored in some parts of the accomodation. The original timbers and beams are still in situ and remain a traditional feature of the Inn.
Situated on Broadway in Shifnal, Shropshire, The Wheatsheaf Inn (also known as The Tap House) is of historical and architectural interest and is Grade 2 listed.
